 In the Western culture today, the laws are to prevent people from killing another person. There are laws that are very strict and will punish a person who does not obey them, such as the death penalty and life in prison. The Yanomamo have no formal laws and written language. Since the Yanomamo have no form of written laws, the rules are broken almost everyday. In the Yanomamo population, one of the most common reasons for killing is for revenge on a previous killing. The main reason this is known as revenge in the Yanomamo is because of the women. The people who are out for revenge have to be careful for revenge coming back to their direction.  Part 1: I feel like this part of the experiment was the most difficult because of not being able to use any type of normal language. Not being able to use normal language was difficult because it's something that I use everyday and communicating made it really challenging. The person I was communicating with had trouble understanding a lot of the body language and hand signs I was using. My partner's impressions throughout the conversation were very expressive. Their hand and facial expressions became very demonstrative, as if he were trying to throw out the information I had trouble communicating to him. He made a lot of speaking gestures and hand gestures in an effort to try and understand the information that I tried to communicate. I feel like the culture that can speak has an advantage in communicating very difficult ideas because it allows them to express all their ideas at their full capacity. Descriptive words: Fascinated, Shocking, Chillingly, Disturbing, Interesting     I chose the word fascinated because while reading the article there were some parts of it that really got my attention and made me curios about it. For example I never knew about the body ritual of Nacirema and after reading about it and understanding what it is, it fascinated me and really caught my eye. One of the texts in the article that caught my eye was when it says, "The focus of this activity is the human body, The appearance and health of which loom as a dominant concern in the ethos of the people". After reading that I understood what Nacirema body rituals were and it gave me an idea of what they do.
